At this point, I think I dislike most of the episodic storylines, though that doesn’t seem to have affected my overall love for the series. But then, I dislike or am uninterested in more of Farscape’s episodic plots that I like, but I love Farscape itself, so maybe that isn’t unusual for me.

Am I the only one who can’t stop staring at this cover? For those who aren’t sure what cover this is, it features Asami dressed as a she-devil and apparently about to drag Haruna-who is dressed as a catgirl-off to be molested. Ok series, I thought you were very devoted to avoiding Shoujo Tropes That Annoy Megan Land, what happened? At least you wrapped that up quickly, and had a fun twist on the usual take on it.

So, in all of manga, is there a bigger dork than Haruna?

Also, I am surprised it took me this long to notice, but I have realized that this manga is a lesson in what happens when tomboys read too much shoujo and imprint on how to be the best shoujo hero ever. And then forget to ask the boyfriend if he minds being cast as the Damsel in Distress.

( Biggest overreaction known to shoujo? )

This volume raised a very important question to me: how did shoujo characters communicate before cellphones? It’s, like, 50% of communication (and miscommunication) in shoujo.
